Welcome to Fort Monmouth Family, Morale, Welfare & Recreation.
FMWR provides quality of life programs to the entire Fort Monmouth community, including active duty military, retirees, civilian employees, National Guard/ Reservists, all of their family members and to our partnered communities. Our events and programs are designed to enhance and support the approximately 15,000 eligible men, women and children who live and work in Central New Jersey. Longest Drive - Eddie Carnes The Last HOO-AH Sporting EventsOne of the many highlights of The Last HOO-AH was the various sporting events that took place at the Physical Fitness Center and on Greely Field on Friday. The Commanders Trophy remains with the reigning 2009 Champs, CECOM LCMC Resource Management Directorate – G8, who racked up 384 points, participating in 5 of the five events. CECOM LCMC G8 and PMBC tied for top spot in softball with 90 points each. PMBC had high points (110) winning volleyball. CECOM LCMC G8 beat all others for top rank in bocce ball with 90 points and took the tug of war portion of the tournament earning 70 points. Congratulations to all the participants and winners. Our appreciation goes out to the sponsors for their support. And a very special thanks to all of the FMWR Recreation Staff for braving >10 hours of extreme heat to ensure that the games went on, all were safe and most importantly a good time was had. 5K ResultsOver 220 registered to run, walk or wheel in the 5k race and despite the heat, impressive times were set by the competitors. CECOM ranked top among number of participants taking part in the 5K event. DOIM, DOL, PMBC AND CECOM all scored extra points in the 5K with organization representatives placing in the top 1st, 2nd or 3rd male or female in Run, Walk or Wheel.
